I buy my corn in 50# bags easy to store, when I get down to 2 bags I buy 8 or so more.
As far as legal in the city, I'd find it VERY difficult to believe they aren't legal. The exhaust is extremely clean and pleasent smelling.
They are direct venting meaning no need for flues, pipes all over the place etc.

The City has some restrictions on heating stoves due to the close proximity of the houses. I will check though. I may ask you for more info later if that's OK.

I switched to a corn stove and am absolutely pleased with it.

doesn't the corn draw rats and mice?

Most city homes have rats and especially mice because of the pigginess of neighbors so no biggy there. They are fairly easy to get rid of if you have a good exterminator.

Dial back the bad-mouthing of the city residents. There are still plenty of us city residents that are good people.

Wow, what an ignorant statement. I've lived in the city since I graduated college in 1977. I've never had mice or rats or any other vermin in any of my houses. I know dozens of people who live in the city who can say the same. If you have them, it's definately a reflection on your housekeeping skills.
