Jane Phillips is a grandmother five times over, but you won't find her living at Homestead Village or Willow Valley.

If her grandchildren are living in the county or even in the continental USA, I can tell you this is ONE reason why someone would move from Hawaii back to the USA.

I'm probably missing another dozen business types & things to do that I can walk to every day.

Hardly a "nothing to do" or "can't get it there" environment

You forgot: ice skating in the winter, ballgames in the summer, summer movie nights, concerts, and how could you even forget the every-other-weekend fireworks!?

wow, more insight from amos. Ever live in a city?

It’ been a long time since I lived in the City, my guess is that my work takes me to more city streets more homes more apartment buildings and commercial buildings then you will in 2 life times, furthermore I’m in contact with more property owners, land lords, tenants and service personal then you will ever be. Add in my 40 + years living 1 mile from the city and a addiction to reading local current events and I think that brings me real close to…knowledgeable!
Were you around for the last revival? That was in the late 70’s and included old Town, Did you see the effects of the crack cocaine explosion of the late 80’s and the near collapse of property values during the 90’s caused in part by a mass exodus out to the suburbs and a reverse migration from Philia and New York to good old Lancaster.
Dude what do you Know!
PS Lancaster had 2 nice movie theaters the Pacific and those at Lancaster Square they were always pact until the demographics change and people decided not to go there because of the behavior of a bunch of scum bags

I don't know that I'd recommend ice skating for this age group, but there are plenty of other things they can do to stay active.
