Not to take any credit away from the Streaks, but this was one of the most poorly officiated games I have ever watched. The botched call that awarded the game to MT was only the icing on the cake.

Even the sportscasters from WGAL pointed out how poor the call was. They don't make a call when Arment got tripped in the first half. Twice the official called offsides on MC when the player was clearly onsides when the ball was played. How could he tell? He was on the other side of the field.

They gave a goal kick to MT when the ball was clearly knocked out by township. They saw fit to give the Barons 5 Yellow Cards and none to the Streaks, even though #3 for Township played an extremely "dirty" game.

Clearly the refs were slanted against the Barons.

All that being said, I believe the teams were very evenly matched. Township had very good ball skills and strung together some great passes. Both teams had opportunities to put the game away and could not capitalize.

It just makes me sick to see a team lose because of POOR officiating. It would have been more fitting to let the game go to kicks. At least it would have given each team an equal chance.

Township deserved to win as much as Central but they should not have been handed the game.
