I do not know who Steven is. I also was never knee high to a grasshopper. My question to you is this.......are you congratulating him because he is going to do a great job and is well qualified, or is this individual a buddy of yours, and that is why you are happy?
As I read the article, I cannot help but wonder why there was a no vote. I am wondering why there was no contact made with Mrs. Post. Maybe Mr. Evans should have tried to make a contact with this lady to find out why she cast a no vote. I have found out that appointments to school boards are not always the best course of action to take. I am not saying that they are all bad. But, in my opinion, it is better to have people representing the community and selected by the community, not by a few individuals who are already on the board. This way, the new member, instead of having a feeling of allegiance to the current members and feeling like they must cast votes that will align with them, can make decisions and cast votes that will be in the best interest of the entire community.....

So, basically, he is guaranteed a seat on the board. With the elections so close, Why didn't they let the people decide?

Inquiring minds want to know. I blame the news reporter. Why can we come up with these questions and they cannot. I would think that if the guy did ask her why she voted no and got a no comment answer, it would have been noted. If she does not want the dude on the board, then how will this affect the dynamics of the board with him on? Why not let the people decide? I do know a few people that live in that school district. I am told that their taxes have been going through the roof. Maybe they are afraid to let the people decide because of what the people will do.........
