I'm not excusing anyone here but the person who reported this should have their hand shaken and big thank you given. I can not imaging anyone thinking evil of this magnitude was being committed in the basement.
As is the case of most abuses cases, the people that are on the fringe of the occurrence convince themselves that it "just can't be happening and it must be their imagination" and "no one would do that, they must be mistaken".
I can't see blaming the person who reported it but if there was anyone in the family or without who may have been aware of it and did nothing to stop it, then they should explain themselves and/or be held accountable.
My hunch is you won't here from them in this forum though.

From the one post defending Stephanie it seems they must be Catholic. But the person posting never really mentioned if any of these children and women in this couples care attenDed Sunday Mass or any of the church services. If they didn't attend usually Communion is brought by a deacon, or priest to visit the ill and house bound. If so why didn't someone notice this and report it. Or did they just turn their heads the other way. jUST TOO, TOO BIZARE. Also, what about the person who reported this. How long did it go on before she came forward. it seems either she was afraid to talk untill her and her ex-boyfriend broke it off or she just reported it out of revenge. And if all these charges are true let's see if this couple will be held acountable to the same legal treatment as the group of US service personel who shamed and mistreated the prisoners at Gittomo Prison
