I'm a 42-year-old architect and I got my iPhone on Monday. I doubt you'll be supporting me any time soon. Without a doubt, it is the best phone I've ever used or owned. I go as far as to say that it is, indeed, cool.

May I never see another Treo for the rest of my days.

Ya know, yeah I do get a little bitter
Did sound like a jealousy post.

I do not want to be supporting these morons in another 30 years
That is mighty presumptuous. Be careful, it could go the other way. You never know.
hahaha

This is a section of an article published in the New London (CT) Day newspaper from 6/30. I am almost speechless!!
Although the wait went smoothly, the event did have a few hiccups.

Eleven-year-old Anthony Carabetta, who lives in Meriden and said his family owns a beach house in Old Saybrook, arrived at 4 p.m. to find a 16-person line outside the AT&T store. He offered Longley and Wiley, who was second in line, first $50 and then $100 for their spots. Both declined. Minutes later he went with his siblings and babysitter to wait at the end of the line.

When he was finally ushered into the store, Anthony wasn't allowed to use a credit card because he didn't have a photo ID. After a few minutes of wrangling, he gave up on the credit card.

“Well, I'll pay in cash,” he said, producing $650 from his pocket.

His 4-year-old sister, Lili, began crying and screaming “iPhone” when her babysitter — who was purchasing her own iPhone — told Lili that she was too young to get one.
