People have to know more about the case. Did the coroners report indicate a knive with serrated edges, or smooth surface? were there blood trails leading out of the house? Where there any sounds of cars speeding off from the scene of the crime?

Where was Lancaster County Aviation duiring all of his? Why was a ploice chopper not dispatched after the 911 call? What was the father, and mothers occupation? where they party people, how about the son? Did anyone play poker?

Did the daugther have a jilted boyriend? People need to know more. WHat where the entry, and exit routes determined by the detective investigation from the crime scene? I hope there are gathering hair samples, dandruff, anything they can find to help solv this. How about calling in a proffessional phychic who has experience with these cases? Who is the guy that lives across the hall from my apartment? Is he an ex commando for the CIA hit squads? These are things which have to be known.

I'm a student at MT High School, and I understand how everyone, including myself, wants anwers and reasons for what happened. I believe it's absolutely fine to wonder what happened, and all plausible possibilities should certainly be investigated. I do not, however, condone the rumors that have been circulating throughout the town and my school that simply point blame or make senseless theories about the tragedy. As I said before, no rock should remain unturned, and please, if anyone out there knows or even thinks they know something please, please, please contact people who can use the information.
But to anyone out there who is just circulating rumors that obviously won't help the investigation, remember that this is not an episode of CSI. It is natural to try to make sense of something so horribly unexpected, but keep in mind that there are people out there who were close to the family, and it is hard enough for them already without having to deal with gossip. I did not know the family, but their son was a familiar face in the hallway. Even that little bit of contact makes the whole situation extremely disturbing, to say the least. I'm also close to a lot of people who did know the family, and the ridiculous rumors sweeping throughout the building wound them even more than they already are.
In short, all that I'm asking is that the community pass on any information at all about the tragedy to the proper authorities. But if you're just sitting in a school cafeteria or drinking coffee with your coworkers, find ways to fill the silences in your conversations other than passing on pointless rumors.

Why do you need to know what kind on knife was used? Why do you need to know any of that information. These are items in an investigation that would not be given out so that when the bad guy is caught you can use these thing to make sure you have the right person. It is apparent that you know nothing about conducting a homocide investigation.

You have mentioned that you have been a local law enforcement officer. Thank you for your service to our community. I can understand your reluctance to believe that the average Pennsylvania police department, including some large agencies like the PSP, are providing inefficient and out-dated public safety services on the street. On par with other Appalachian states (like West Virginia). Which is OK, if we were paying the low salaries like these other states. But we're not.

GP, before you criticize others about knowing "nothing about conducting a homocide investigation", which implies that you DO know how to conduct one .... maybe you should learn how to first spell the word homicide.

The union pay and retirement plan is good, eh?
