First of all Mr. Murse should get his facts straight before printing. This is a group that was selected to help be the consultants get ideas from the Northeast Neigborhood to make it better wheter it's more parking, playgrounds, lighting etc.. Actually they are trying to think a little bigger than that but that is the general idea. Very soon everyone in the northeast section should be receiving a flyer announcing to public meeting for the community to attend and bring their constructive ideas too. This is not meant to be a complaint session about your neighbor but an opportunity to put your ideas out there to make this city better for all of us.
Mr. Tracy did mention his idea and some said it sounded good but this article really takes it out of context. Of course this idea needs to thought out some more and involve the proper people so again maybe Mr. Murse should have contacted others on the committee to see what truly transpired before putting words in their mouths and made it seem like there was work being done behind the scenes when this was the work of one person.

First of all, there is no routine in law enforcement. Bishop is correct here. School teens a deterrent?? Come on. Tracy conpared to 18 years going to war. We should send them to Camp Pendleton first.

Include our teen girls like as well.
How do you pick the best students? GPA or qualify with weapons training? You heve to pay them. These kids are sitting ducks.

Tracy's alledged problem may work in the land of OZ, but is not thought out and the idea should have never made it past his front door.

Tracy, go home.

Naive or stupid.

Imus just got canned for saying something stupid. This is even worse! This idea and thought are so dumb that he should get Imus treatment. Not the least of the problems will be the first time- likely in the first few days- one of these kiddie cops gets shot or injured. Do you really think it will not happen. This section of the city is becoming a pretty bad area. Ridiculous idea.

"We send kids off to war at 18. I don't think we'd have a problem with them walking the neighborhoods," said Jack Tracy, a former city councilman and candidate for magisterial district judge who came up with the idea.

I wonder what he [Jack Tracy] was smoking when he came up with that brilliant idea?

This guy wants to be a District Judge. God, help us all if he is elected.
