Flood Watch Remains in effect from 2 pm edt this afternoon Through Saturday afternoon,
The flood watch continues for
A portion of central pennsylvania, Including The Following counties, Adams, Columbia, cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, lebanon, Mifflin, Montour, Northern Lycoming, northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Southern lycoming, Sullivan, Tioga, Union And York.
From 2 pm edt this afternoon through Saturday afternoon
Moisture from the remnants of tropical storm tammy will interact with a slow moving cold front to produce a widespread heavy rainfall today through Saturday afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches will occur with some places receiving as much as 5 inches.
Flooding of streams and low lying, Poor Drainage Areas is possible. However, The Larger Rivers, Such As The susquehanna and juniata, Are Not Expected to flood.
A flood watch means that flooding is possible but not imminent in The watch area. Check your preparedness requirements, Especially if you have interests along rivers or streams in the area. Keep Informed, And Be Ready for action if flooding is observed or if a flood warning is issued.
